Despite all the talent that the San Diego Chargers have fielded over the past few years, it seems like they are eternally disappointing. Typically, they fall behind early in the season with surprisingly bad play, and have to make a mad rush to try to make the playoffs late in the year. A similar story played out in 2011, as the Chargers finished the season with a 4-1 mark, ending up at .500, but losing out on the division crown by virtues of a tiebreaker.
