Heading into this Saturday's Michigan State vs. Notre Dame match-up, things are not quite as they were expected to be. The Spartans are 2-0, and that is about on target for the co-champions of the Big Ten from last year, returning with much of their talent and currently sporting a number 15 ranking in the polls. But for Notre Dame and the Fighting Irish? It's been about as bad of a start as you can get, and an 0-2 record says it all.
