The season is set to begin for one of the dark horse candidates to win the national championship, the South Carolina Gamecocks. Things get started for them with a matchup against Carolina rival, East Carolina. East Carolina is off the beaten path a bit when compared to big time BCS schools and conferences, but they have a good program which has gotten some big wins over the years, and produced some major NFL talent.
