The conference wants to bring that championship trophy back down south, they want to win the inaugural college football playoff, and oh yea, they likely want to send two schools to that 4-team playoff as well. SEC Preseason Football Rankings There are a total of 8 SEC schools in the preseason AP rankings, a crazy total. That includes number 2 Alabama, number 6 Auburn, number 9 South Carolina, numbers 12 and 13, Georgia and LSU respectively, Ole Miss at number 18, Texas A&M at number 21, and finally, Missouri at number 24.
